Our Story

Bellechasse Bakehouse is the start of a micro bakery producing artisanal sourdough bread here in Nashville.

We learned the art of bread making in Montreal, where we are from. Our goal is to bring the bread culture we know and love to Nashville!

We love the process and art of traditional bread making because of the attention to every detail it requires, and the fulfillment we get from enjoying a delicious loaf after all that work! We are so excited to share this with you!

About

We source our flour from Lindley Mills & Janie’s Mill. Both are 100% Organic.

Our sourdough culture consists of a blend of strong white flour & whole wheat to capture an earthy & more robust flavor during the fermentation period.

Our dough is of a 24 hour fermentation, hand shaped, cold fermented over night & baked fresh in the morning on days of deliveries and markets.
